Install the app

Garage+ runs in the browser, but you can also install it: the app then opens in its own window, with its own icon, like an ordinary app. No app store is needed.

  • Computer (Chrome, Edge): to the right of the address bar, click the Install icon, then confirm.
  • Android (Chrome): open the browser menu, then choose Install app (or Add to Home screen).
  • iPhone and iPad (Safari): tap the Share button, then Add to Home Screen.

The exact wording depends on your browser and its version. To uninstall, use the app or device menu, as for any other app.

If your device loses its connection, a red Connection lost banner appears at the top of the screen. It disappears by itself when the connection returns.

What does not work offline

  • Saving a change: as long as the banner is displayed, your changes are not saved. Wait for the connection to return before saving, or try again afterwards.
  • Opening another screen: the menu and the banner stay in place, and the requested screen is replaced by the message “This page could not be loaded” with a Retry button. The screen reloads by itself as soon as the connection returns. If the screen has not been opened yet since Garage+ was loaded, or if you reload the page, Garage+ shows a “Connexion perdue / Connection lost” page instead: reload it once the connection is back.
  • Receiving updates from the other members of the garage.

What remains true

  • Screens that are already open stay visible as long as you do not reload them.
  • No data from your garage is kept on the device for offline use: only the “Connection lost” page, the icons and the installation information are kept. If the device is lost or shared, your garage data is therefore not stored on it by the app.

For now, Garage+ cannot be used without a connection.
