AI usage
Each garage has an AI budget per calendar month (Paris time), shared by all artificial-intelligence features: the workshop assistant and the Agent page. It is €10 by default; the Garage+ team can set another amount for your garage.
The AI usage screen, in the Analysis section of the menu, opens with the View the garage’s AI usage permission (given to the administrator by default, can be granted to another role, see Roles and permissions) and when the AI assistant feature is turned on (see Features).
What the screen shows
Section titled “What the screen shows”- Monthly budget: the amount used against the budget, in euros, and a gauge. At 80% a warning is shown; at 100% AI is paused until next month (questions and requests to the Agent are refused with a message).
- By day of the month, by member and by function (workshop assistant, Agent page): where the budget goes.
- Last twelve months: month-by-month trend.
- Refused proposals: the share of the action proposals of the whole garage that were refused over the last twelve months, by reason (wrong action, wrong data, other) and by action. The screen only shows counts: never the content of a proposal nor its author.
80% alert
Section titled “80% alert”When a turn of the workshop assistant or of the Agent brings the month’s usage to 80% of the budget or more, Garage+ notifies, through the notification center, every member who has the View the garage’s AI usage permission. This alert is sent only once per month and per garage, even if more turns follow; it is sent again the next month if the threshold is reached again. Clicking the notification opens this screen. The threshold also counts turns still in progress, at their maximum cost: when several questions run at the same time, the alert may come slightly early, never too late.
Each chart comes with a data table (Show the data as a table), readable with the keyboard and a screen reader.
How the cost is counted
Section titled “How the cost is counted”The cost of a turn is computed by Garage+ from the tokens actually used and the model’s public price at the time of the turn; it is never recalculated afterwards. A turn in progress counts as a reserve (the maximum cost of a turn), replaced by its actual cost when it ends, so the gauge may move slightly when a turn finishes. A failed turn only costs the tokens already used.
