Client sources
The source answers the question “Where did you hear about us?”. It is chosen on the client record, when creating or editing it, and is used as a filter in the client directory. It is optional.
The garage’s list
Section titled “The garage’s list”Each garage starts with seven sources, which you can rename: Word of mouth (Bouche à oreille), Internet, Social media (Réseaux sociaux), Walk-in (Passage devant le garage), Trade show (Salon), Former client (Ancien client) and Other (Autre). They are created in French; rename them as you wish.
This screen is reserved for people who have the Manage settings permission. It is in the Settings menu, under Client sources. Every member who can view clients sees the list of sources in the forms.
- Add creates a source at the end of the list (60 characters at most). Two sources cannot have the same name, regardless of case.
- Rename changes the label: the records that carry this source show the new name.
- The Move up and Move down arrows change the order in which sources are offered.
Archive rather than delete
Section titled “Archive rather than delete”A source cannot be deleted: it is archived. It is then no longer offered for a new client, but the records that carried it keep it, marked “archived”. Restore offers it again.
Personal data
Section titled “Personal data”The source is commercial data: it appears in the record’s export (its label) and it is erased when the record is anonymized.
