Support access

The Support access screen is in Settings. It lets you allow a Vehitis operator to see Garage+ as you see it, to help you solve a problem. Without your agreement, no operator sees your garage’s data.

Only a garage Administrator sees this screen, opens an access and revokes it.

  1. Choose the Access duration: from 1 to 72 hours (24 hours by default).
  2. Choose Open access.

The screen then shows until when the access is open. Only one access is useful at a time: open a new one when the previous one has expired.

Choose Revoke access, then confirm. Any Administrator of the garage can revoke the access, even if they did not open it themselves.

Revocation takes effect immediately: if an operator is viewing your garage, their session ends on their next action. A revoked access cannot be reopened; open a new one if needed.

While the access is open, an operator can start a support session:

  • they see Garage+ in place of the Administrator who opened the access, with their screens;
  • they must give a reason for each session, visible in the history;
  • a session lasts 30 minutes at most; they can start another one as long as the access is open;
  • they work read-only: they look, but change nothing.

If you ask them to fix something, they can switch the session to write mode, giving a new reason. Their changes are then recorded under their name, as an operator, in the garage log.

Even in write mode, an operator can never:

  • manage the garage’s members or roles;
  • export a client’s data;
  • change the garage’s legal notices (company name, SIRET, VAT number, legal form, share capital, register, VAT regime…), its bank details or the garage address (printed on invoices): they can only correct the garage name, its phone number and its email;
  • delete or anonymize a client;
  • ask the workshop assistant a question (an operator never sends any garage data);
  • notify your clients (“vehicle ready”, sending a notification again): an operator does not contact your clients.

These decisions stay yours.

As long as an operator is viewing your garage, all members see a banner at the top of the screen: “A Vehitis operator is viewing your garage (support access) until time.” The Administrator finds the Manage support access link there, which leads to this screen to revoke the access.

Revocation is immediate: the operator can no longer reach anything and their session ends, with a “Support access ended” page. Members lose no input: the banner simply disappears.

The operator, for their part, always sees a red banner reminding them that they are acting in place of a member, the session mode (read-only or write) and its end time. They can switch to write mode there (with a reason) or end the session; signing out during a support session also signs them out of the console.

The Operator sessions section lists the last 100 support sessions: the operator, the reason, the mode (read-only or write), the start and end of the session, with the reason it ended (ended by the operator, expired after 30 minutes, access revoked, account suspended, start failed).

A session’s activity link shows the number of views (screens and data opened) and changes. Choose it to see the details, hour by hour.

The Opened access section lists current and past accesses: who opened them, when, until when, and their status (open, revoked, expired).

Reasons are entered by operators: they describe the assistance request and contain no personal data.

Demo garages contain only fictitious data. Operators can enter them without support access, always under the same conditions (reason, 30 minutes, read-only by default, everything recorded).
